Lone Oak Partners was formed by seasoned professionals, who collectively possess +100 years of business and financial service skill sets from entry level to Chief Executive Officer and Board Member positions in a number of industries.

As a final point, you will be working with a group of seasoned professionals who are at a point in their lives where helping people is really what we are all about. None of our team members are here to do “fill in work” while they are looking for a permanent position. Spending a significant amount of time prior to any engagement to develop an understanding of the issues facing a client and to ensure that the staff of Lone Oak and client management can cultivate a cohesive working relationship.

Below are brief synopses of certain of Lone Oak’s prior engagements:
Strategic Plan
Developed a comprehensive Strategic Plan for a reclaimed materials entity including an indepth market analysis, a detailed determination of actual inventory levels, conducting 34 “lunch and learns” with leading architectural firms and the construction of an all inclusive financial model that ultimately culminated in the sale of millions dollars of product.
Digital Startup
As the Chief Operating Officer, assisted in the development of a startup for a storytelling entity whose mission is to allow clients to preserve their heritage, share their life stories and celebrate their legacy. It involved digitizing all forms of media, creating content, and incorporating the afore mentioned into a beautifully designed top quality leather bound namesake book.
Business Operations Plan
Undertook an effort to address and link together several key components within a rapidly growing real estate development company that entailed developing an overall vision, identifying key issues, defining roles and properly placing personnel, documenting processes, and synthesizing key metrics leading to a “go forward” business model.
Fractional CFO
Served as a fractional Chief Financial Officer for a specialty trucking company with a special emphasis on evaluating terms and conditions of existing credit arrangements and key credit metrics, negotiating the refinancing of existing debt, and organizing and consolidating banking relationships. Established a customized template of terms and conditions for loans secured by equipment and real estate.
Estate Evaluation
Conducted a high eight figure estate valuation effort encompassing over 30 different entities covering real estate, securities, notes, life insurance, partnership interests, airplanes, boats, art work and other personal assets. The final figures and supporting working papers were submitted to KPMG; incorporated in the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) Form 706 (United States Estate and Generation Skipping Transfer Tax Return) and were accepted by the IRS.
Investment Consult
Advised a family office on various financial issues including identifying options related to amending silica sand mining leases to incorporate beneficial terms in exchange for certain concessions.
Information Tech
Developed and implemented a database management system that is currently in use today, enabling a lender to liquidate millions of dollars of assets while complying with all federal and state laws.
Our
Team
Nicolo S. Genua
He has served as a Principal at Buis & Co. and a Vice President at Southwest Securities, Inc. where he helped complete investment banking engagements valued at over $550 million encompassing buy and sell side transactions, equity and debt financings, business valuations and other financial advisory services.
Mr. Genua was also the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide Engine Supply, an automotive engine remanufacturer with over 150 employees in nine production and distribution facilities. In addition, he was employed by NCH Corporation, a former Fortune 1000 company, based in Irving, Texas, where he managed a multi million dollar nationwide value added industrial products distribution company. Before NCH, he worked at Frito Lay Inc. where he was responsible for the development of the company’s annual operating plan. Mr. Genua was also the President and Chief Operating Officer of Vansco Industries, Inc, a consumer and industrial goods manufacturer. He also functioned as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen and Hamilton, Inc. and was the Assistant to the Vice President of Operations Planning at the Unites States Railway Association.
He holds a B.A. degree in Education from Shepherd College and an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He has a son and daughter who are twins. Mr. Genua is currently serving as a Board Member of the Fort Worth Transportation Authority dba as Trinity Metro. He previously served as the Chairman of both the Zoning Commission and Residential Board of Adjustment and Vice Chairman of the Plan Commission for the City of Fort Worth; is a past Vestry Member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and Committee Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 350.
John K. Cockrell
In his professional capacity, he has served as the President of both the Young Presidents and World Presidents Organizations. He was also a founding director of The Graphic Source, a national buying cooperative serving printing entities that have a combined sales of over $300 million per year. In addition, he was the President of the Printing Industries of North Texas.
Mr. Cockrell has also served as a Board Member of Colonial Country Club, President of the TCU Frog Club and the TCU Neeley School of Business advisory board. Also, he was appointed by the City Council to the Fort Worth Zoning Commission where he served for a period of three years.
He holds a B.B.A. degree in Business from Texas Christian University. At TCU he was active in student government, serving on the Student Body and Interfraternity Council. After graduation, he was commissioned into the U.S. Army Signal Corps, serving in the 1st Cavalry Division in Viet Nam as a general staff briefing officer and reached the rank of Captain while serving in the reserves. He and his wife, Lynn, have a son and daughter and 3 grandchildren. He is currently serving as a Board Member for the Davy O’Brien National Quarterback Award. He is a member of First Methodist Church in downtown Fort Worth and has served on the Finance Committee and Staff Parish Relations Committee.
